Animatrix

I love the internet (watch)

There are no good pictures for this post that would fit with how this collection of animation short stories fit together. There just aren't any on the internet which confuses me for how good this compilation is. Well directed across the board, there are only episodes that one can like less than others rather than dislike. Smooth animations, great stories, and a great sense of feel to compliment the first movie in the series.

The Animatrix contains 8 short stories that give a greater idea and sense as to the current situation humanity is in, and understanding of the matrix. As some of my friends have rightly commented, in a select few of these episodes there is more cannon than in the last two live action movies. Particularly The Second Renaissance is a price gem. This episode is split into two separate episodes that explain how mankind became the weaver of their own doom and the emergence of the machines. Voice acting, frames, smoothness, and detail are all done very well. I would strongly advise anyone and everyone who liked the movies to watch this series of episodes. Arguably better then the last two movies, this is a great experience to have and enrichment of the Matrix plot/aesthetics.
